Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years of professional EHS with a concentration in production (filmed and live content capture) safety experience working for a studio or other production entity
  • Deep familiarity with MPAA safety programs and guidelines
  • Relevant technical certification (CSP, CIH) preferred

Apple is looking for a collaborative, highly organized professional for the position of EHS Manager to develop and implement EHS and production safety programs for our business operations in Culver City. The ideal candidate will have a professional working knowledge of local occupational heath and safety requirements, industrial hygiene controls, risk management and environmental compliance requirements. This position will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of compliance programs with a dynamic team. This position reports to the EHS Manager - US Campuses. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and direct programs that drive compliance with corporate EHS goals and objectives; Champion organizational compliance through the evaluation of workplace environments, equipment, and processes with a focus on continuous improvement; Evaluates production sets, stages and locations for safety issues; Direct the design and implementation of studio-related environmental, safety, and industrial health (EHS) programs that achieve and maintain compliance, and minimize the risk of injury and illness Serve as company subject matter expert on all environmental, health and safety activities related to production safet Mitigates safety concerns by working directly with production staff; Recommends corrective actions and assists productions in implementation; Coordinates production employee health & safety training; Define solutions that integrate corporate EHS policy into local facility operations; - Partner with Facilities, Operations, Security, HR/ER and Corporate Leadership to develop and implement EHS policies, procedures and standards Manage the process for reporting, investigating and communicating accidents, hazards and concerns Support emergency response preparation, including training and drills Develop and implement training for all personnel to assure understanding of environmental health and safety programs Maintain positive relationships with industry safety organizations and regulatory agencies for the facility and manage permits, regulatory inspections, incident reporting and other aspects of program documentation as required; Provide insight and advice on meeting the requirements of EHS for existing and emerging businesses; Engage and collaborate with business partners to gain cross-functional support and leverage initiatives across divisions, including facilities, content development, security, procurement, legal, and human resources; Ability to travel as driven by production schedules
