The Fraud Engineering team performs continuous analysis and designs and provides internal tools to help ensure that our users remain in control of their data, even when their credentials leave their control. We are looking for people who can envision themselves in the bad guys' seat, while feeling proud and rewarded whenever fraudsters are pushed out of business and Apple users are safe. In the Fraud Engineering, Algorithms and Risk group, the Red Teamʼs purpose is to conduct analysis, reverse engineer malicious software and systems, and design and implement fraud prevention mechanisms and tools. We're hiring a seasoned reverse engineer to strengthen our core activity of evaluation of existing and future Apple services features, taking the perspective of a powerful and malicious attacker. The role spans the breadth of the Apple ecosystem, from the iPhone SW to web implementation to back-end servers, and implies the ability to both take initiative and collaborate multi-functionally in order to successfully deliver features. The role requires you to have a strong background and interest in information, product and system security, a rich experience in reversing software, breaking obfuscation layers and playing with protocols. You should find it fun to analyze and attack complex systems when that results in improving the lives of millions with every exploit. He or she will have the opportunity to lead change at multiple levels of the organization and in procedures and protocols as well as technical implementation.
- Experience with development of tools using Scala, Java, or Python
- Experience with application-level network protocol analysis
- Experience with reverse engineering of software and related tools (IDA…)
- Experience with embedded security architectures
- Knowledge and understanding of cryptography and mobile and network
- Ability to quickly pick up, understand, and communicate complex concepts
- Excellent communication skills and a strong dream to work with both technical and non-technical audiences
As a Red team engineer in the Fraud Engineering, Algorithms and Risk group, you'll have the opportunity to conduct analysis and reverse engineering of Apple services and contribute to building the methodology and tools that protect our customers. You will work with developers, data analysts and security engineers to ensure that new devices, software and features in our services, provide the safest experience to our customers.
Education & Experience
