The Employee Relations Business Partner (ERBP) provides consulting and direction regarding employee and labor relations matters to executives, managers and employees throughout the Retail organization. The ERBP helps ensure the legal compliance, adherence to and consistent application of Apple policies and practices. This work is accomplished through collaboration with multiple partners and functions across Apple and guided by the principles of the Credo.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years HR experience related to employee relations
  • Demonstrable ability to handle multiple priorities, partners and work streams across markets
  • Demonstrable ability to work independently with extraordinary decision quality and independent judgement
  • Demonstrable ability to demonstrate command skills and influence others
  • Ability to cultivate effective partnership and collaboration with business leadership and Talent Team peers in the organization
  • Extraordinary communication skills including effective listening, writing and presentation
  • Knowledge of Chinese Labor Contract Law, as well as relevant municipal and provincial labour laws and practices
  • Experience working with ACFTU, employee representative organizations and local Labour Bureaus
  • {Knowledge of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan labor and contract laws and practices.}
  • Experience with WFOE or global corporations.
  • Conversational proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese and English
  • Written proficiency in Simplified Chinese and English
  • Good work ethic with a high degree of flexibility
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic and fast paced work environment

- Identify, analyze and implement resolutions to all aspects of complex and highly sensitive employee-related issues, including unusual situations where precedents for resolution are unavailable. - Advise and influence all levels of management regarding critical and complex employee-related decisions, e.g., performance management, harassment, business conduct, terminations, and HR policies, guidelines and practices. These decisions may have critical impact on the organization and involve a large degree of risk. - Evaluate and review employee related decisions in response to employee concerns. - Lead and conduct investigations regarding potential misconduct and policy violations. - Conduct workplace violence assessments and implement response plans as needed. - Develop, communicate and implement company-wide programs, policies, and procedures. - Coordinate and lead responses to government audits, information requests and inspections. - Oversee and advise on ERC, LMC and EWC policies, charters and activities. - Provide resources and training for HR, ER and line management on employee relations topics. - Use ER metrics with clients to highlight trends and develop strategies to cultivate positive ER in the business and mitigate risk.
