We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to handle the on-boarding of new merchants for the Apple Pay eCommerce platform with specific emphasis on the billing, shopping and travel verticals. Within this role, you will take direct ownership of supporting strategic merchant partnerships by enabling new partner Apple Pay capabilities and by improving performance of existing implementations. You will work directly with the Apple Pay Business Development team and also cross-functionally with Apple Pay Engineering, Project Management, Operations and Product Marketing. Third-party technology service providers are key to defining and delivering the payment processing solutions to support in-app and web-based payments. The ability to manage multiple merchant projects, craft scalable solutions for diverse merchant partners, and provide consistent updates and communication to business leaders will be critical for success in this role. You should have experience and subject matter expertise in payment processing, mobile payments, mobile commerce and applications. This role is located in our Cupertino, CA headquarters and is a full time, inhouse position.

Key Qualifications

  • Seasoned technical product or project manager with 5+ years of successful project and partner management experience
  • Direct experience working with eCommerce resellers on new technologies
  • Strong technical skills in the development of web and mobile applications
  • Understanding of network tokenization standards, EMV and 3-D Secure rails
  • Track record of quickly earning credibility based on your knowledge and ability to learn quickly
  • Adept at communicating with developers, non-technical business partners and executives
  • Strong problem solving, negotiating, influencing, conflict resolution and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional time management, documentation and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and analytical abilities
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight
  • High-energy and collaborative teammate who thrives off of goal setting and achievement

Description

•Help formulate and oversee project plans with merchants including identifying scope, solution definition for eCommerce payment architectures, testing plans and post- launch operational processes. •Manage communication, progress and status within the core team and external merchant teams; raise issues as necessary. •Ensure risks are identified and mitigated. •Work closely with Apple Product/Engineering teams and third-party eCommerce payment service providers to resolve issues that arise during project assessment or implementation. •Participate in business development meetings to understand and evaluate merchant capabilities and risks. •Summarize the advantages and the obstacles that merchants are seeing with Apple Pay eCommerce implementations, •Travel is required.

Education & Experience

B.A./B.S./M.S. EE/CS or equivalent
