Key Qualifications

We are looking for a strong candidate to join the Platform Product Management team in Apple’s Silicon Engineering Group. In this extremely visible role, you will be at the center of time-critical SoC validation efforts interfacing with all disciplines, with direct impact on getting functional products to millions of customers. As a Platform Product Manager, you will be responsible for the resource and deliverables management of our fast-growing FPGA and Emulation platforms. Resource management will entail preparing platform forecast for annual budget, ensuring platform resources are optimally utilized, and tracking forecast-vs-actual utilization and return on investment. Deliverables management will cover the entire product cycle for each platform deliverable: collect feature requirements from customers, finalize the release schedule, track execution, drive post-release debug & post-mortem, and finally, close tape-out sign-off with all customers. In this dynamic multiple supplier/client-interfacing role, you will spearhead the following activities on day-to-day basis: · Forecast resource allocation, system configurations, compute hosts and Lab space for annual budget preparation · Work closely with platform vendors and CAD to ensure platform resources remain optimally utilized and forecast-vs-actual utilization is on track. Monitor tool licenses. · Negotiate and prioritize with stakeholders for optimal resource utilization in case of peak workload crunch · Manage system inventory purchase, procurement and transfer among customer groups · Analyze resource downtime and service history; provide report cards to suppliers · Manage Lab equipment inventory; analyze Lab downtime history · Define board fab requirements and quantity, and manage schedule · Define for each SoC program the platform deliverables, their requirements and release schedules working with customers (e.g. iOS), development teams spanning multiple disciplines and geographic locations · Work directly with the Platform Engineering team to track execution and release to customers · Ensure that post-release debug activities are driven to closure with minimum turnaround · Drive post-mortem analysis, prepare report card and present to affected parties · Present platform status in various executive briefings · Close platform sign-off with each customer for SoC tape-out approval

Education & Experience

MS (EE) with 10+ years relevant experience. MBA is plus.
