Join an interdisciplinary team in Apple’s Core OS group working across the entire system, from the kernel up through libraries, frameworks, and applications. As an engineer you will have a major impact on the design and implementation of Apple’s embedded and desktop operating system products, collaborating closely with experts throughout Apple’s software and hardware organizations. You'll work with some of the most talented engineers in the industry. Key Qualifications

  • Excellent C and C++ programming skills
  • Experience with Objective-C or Swift is a plus
  • Strong understanding of operating systems internals
  • Experience with kernel and/or system framework and/or device driver development
  • Ability to quickly understand and modify existing codebases
  • Ability to ramp up quickly on both new technologies and existing technologies.
  • Familiarity with Apple products and technologies is a plus
  • Previous experience with platform bring-up or porting of operating systems is a plus
  • Highly focused, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules
  • Excellent collaborative skills, with strong written and verbal communication

Description

You will be bringing up new hardware / software platforms. Solve problems, innovative solutions to complex problems, make the pieces fit together, and implement solutions to fill in the gaps. Work on prototypes and products within a tight-knit team to build out missing functionality, as well as working collaboratively with experts throughout the company.

Education & Experience

BS or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience/skills
