CAD Synthesis Engineer - DFT

As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you’ll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). You’ll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Joining this group means you’ll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple’s devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices. We are expanding our CAD team and searching for strong engineers to join us. In this hands-on role, you will utilize your experience in DFT Engineering to support Design and DFT Engineering. You will write and support software and scripts that teams use to insert scan structures (including compression), generate test patterns, and verify these structures. The role may also include developing and supporting synthesis tools across Design teams.
- We are looking for engineers who have:
- At least 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Expertise in DFT Compiler and Design Compiler
- Strong scripting skills in Perl and Tcl
- Expertise in Formality and/or Conformal is desired
- Expertise in Tetramax/Fastscan and RTL simulators preferred.
- Expertise in linting, clock domain crossing, and power domain checking tools is a plus
- Strong communication skills.
In this role on our team, your responsibilities will include: - Developing and maintaining an existing system for Scan insertion and synthesis flow. - Supporting multiple DFT and design teams. - Working closely with other CAD engineers to integrate your solutions in other flows. - Utilizing your debugging experience to debug vendor tool problems and interact with designers to help solve their problems
Education & Experience
MS/BS Degree in technical discipline
