If you are passionate about building end-to-end large scale data solutions, Apple Global Business Intelligence team is looking for a premier Data Warehouse Solutions Architect with a deep understanding of ETL and Data modeling concepts. Apple's Enterprise Data Warehouse landscape caters to a wide variety of real-time, near real-time and batch analytical solutions. These solutions are integral part of business functions like Sales, Operations, Finance, Apple Care, Marketing and Internet Services, enabling business drivers to make critical decisions.

Key Qualifications

  • Two or more years of industry experience in software development or systems engineering and administration
  • Strong hands-on experience on Java, Deep understanding of HTTP, javascript and REST APIs
  • Tableau Administrator Experience
  • Experience with Business Objets, Spotfire or other BI Tools is a plus
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Excellent Unix skills, experience developing Unix/Perl scripts
  • Experience developing python scripts for automating Tableau server activities
  • SQL Experience with Oracle, Teradata or other DBMS
  • Experience with developing Tableau Dashboards and Reports
  • Experience using Tableau, identify & resolve performance issues
  • Software DevOps tools like Jenkins, Nexus/Artifactory
  • Container tools & Orchestrator systems like Docker, rkt, Mesos, Kubernetes

Description

Design and develop business intelligence applications, DevOps tools for BI application deployment and management Tableau server administration including installation, clustering, configuration, upgrade and Maintenance Review application security, evaluate risks, scan and fix vulnerabilities on production systems Capacity planning and forecast HW requirements. Deployment, support and monitoring of new platforms and application stack Drive adoption of cloud platforms and containerize application Implement Backup & Disaster Recovery solution for BI platforms Work closely with Tableau vendor for product fix and enhancements Develop critical business intelligence applications for the entirety of Apple Lead Continuous Build, Integration, Test, and Delivery processes and tools Perform platform engineering, release management, reliability engineering, infrastructure planning and monitoring and alerting Work with an extensive data pipeline with batch and real time processing that integrates large volumes of business data, from hundreds of enterprise systems, to provide reporting analytics, insights, and data science solutions for our business and external partners Ensuring the health of various platforms on which Apple's solutions are offered Planning, procuring and installing adequate capacity Ensuring resilience through dedicated testing and preventive maintenance Setting up monitoring and alert mechanisms to address issues before they become a problem Documenting and communicating standards for platform users Solve issues, memory leaks, performance tune applications Use Tableau Rest services to Automate of various server maintenance activities, implementing governance and standard methodologies Develop Tableau dashboards to monitor system usage and key metrics
