Come and do the best and most exciting work of your career at Apple. Corporate Events team is looking for a Keynote Event Systems and Demo Engineer. This role will coordinate with key stakeholders and provide high level leadership for systems engineering at a variety of live events worldwide.
- Deep understanding of video and audio signal infrastructure in a live broadcast environment
- Proficient with laser projectors, DolbyVision standards, and ultra-large direct-view display technologies
- Experience with Imagine, Evertz, Grass Valley, Lightware, Disguise, Spyder, and Barco (E2), and Analog Way products
- Experience with UHD, 4K and 8K video including 2SI and SQD, etc.
- Knowledge of HDR workflows including HDR10+ and PQ
- Excellent networking skills: TCP/IP, UDP, Cisco, and Sony products
- Knowledgeable of Video over IP infrastructure
- Peripheral broadcast equipment including closed-caption and open-caption encoders
Executes event projects with Product Marketing and Demo teams at Apple’s campus and off-site venues, including collaboration on high-level product vision and technical support. Designs and execute technical systems including transmission, production, distribution, storage, asset management, archive and backup. Partners with Marcom content teams and other stakeholders throughout production. Seamlessly integrates into other Apple audio and video engineering teams as necessary. Serve as the demo resource and support for all global Events technical inquiries. Partners and builds relationships with internal clients to understand and define the core needs of each event. Drafts signal path diagrams Leads by example and inspires team accountability and sets specific, measurable goals. Works to build and evolve world-class production standards. Adheres to Apple’s high production standards and codes of ethical conduct. Problem solves to reduce downtime when equipment fails by quickly identifying the issue and implementing solutions. Manages maintenance contracts and schedules routine maintenance with vendors. Effective vendor management, excellent project management and ability to follow through on all assignments. Ensures departmental records are updated and maintained. Must be proficient with the entire production lifecycle and possess excellent customer service skills. Fulfill designated “on-call” responsibilities relating to support. Respond and report on client concerns regarding transmission paths and signal flow throughout the facilities. Participate in evaluating and recommending solutions. Assists in leading technical video setup for all event productions. Assists with leading projects which will expand production capabilities and streamline workflows.
Education & Experience
BA or equivalent work experience preferred
