Apple is looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about joining Apple’s engineering team in Sunnyvale, California as a Software Engineer for the Speacial Projects Team, focusing on autonomous technologies. As a member of a cross-functional software team at Apple, you will help to conceive, design and prototype highly integrated new concepts. You will work closely with several cross functional teams delivering rich interactive user experiences. The team works vertically across the entire software stack - applications, frameworks and system software. You will be responsible for developing visual applications and platform components interconnecting more than one device/subsystem, including core framework and UI development. Key Qualifications

  • MS in Computer Science - focus on Software Engineering preferred, experience in Human Computer Interaction is a plus
  • Exceptional skills and experience in computer science
  • 3+ years experience in commercial grade mobile application development in iOS
  • Strong Objective-C, C and C++ programming skills
  • Significant experience with UIKit, ARKit, CoreAnimation, AVFoundation and the iOS SDK
  • Ability to work well with tight schedules and rapid development cycles
  • Must be self directed, analytical, and work well in a cross-functional team environment
  • Flexibility and comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment prone to change
  • Experience building demos and quick prototypes
  • PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Systems level experience integrating networked devices and peripherals in multiple OSes and/or programming languages
  • Excellent critical analysis, statistical analysis, and logic/reasoning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Self-starter

- Architect and prototype UX features and multi-device interactions - Document and present designs, trade-offs, and status updates - Collaborate with Hardware teams to evaluate/design hardware and embedded systems
