This is an exciting opportunity, rich in analysis and playing a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making. You will report to the Head of Operations Finance and will handle departmental planning. This includes but is not limited to forecasting, reporting and tracking of spend for Headcount, IS&T and Programming and Scheduling budgets. As this is a startup initiative within Apple inc. the right person for this role will be hands on as well as strategic able to handle the day to day responsibilities with an eye towards company expansion.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of strong accounting/finance experience
  • Consistent track record of financial analysis
  • Experience with SAP, Essbase and advanced knowledge of Excel preferred
  • Solid attention to detail with strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, navigate multiple projects, grasp new concepts, problem solve
  • Ability to work comfortably with high level of ambiguity and complexity
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred

Description

- Prepare and present monthly forecasts and long-range plan for Headcount, IS&T and Programming & Scheduling budgets - Collaborate with internal business partners and human resource teams to track departmental growth and planning across 18+ departments - Regularly meet with facilities and real estate teams to handle infrastructure costs, headcount projections for space planning, seating arrangements, space transfers and densification projects - Responsible for developing financial modeling, decision reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support the headcount decision-making process - Implement processes to track, analyze and identify trends in headcount costs within both OCOGS and OPEX - Work closely with IS&T to oversee the portfolio of over 40+ and growing current and future IT projects, helping to develop the framework for all Apple Original Content systems - Settle, track, estimate and record related IS&T spend and total project activity for OCOGS and OPEX - Responsible for knowing the status of active projects, major partners and estimated completion dates - Partner with the Programming & Scheduling team to lead research budgets, which includes concept and audience testing, awareness tracking, consumption insight and subscription services for data analytics - Prepare regular management reporting comparing forecast to actual results with variance analysis - Run quarterly close financials, prepare journal entries and compile consolidated reporting for associated budgets - Partner with IS&T to evaluate, revise and automate financial processes to scale to adapt to a rapidly growing business - Ensure business compliance with policies and procedures as required by Sarbanes Oxley

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
