The Home Speaker team is for Electrical Engineer “maker” types who love to build things and think cross-functionally - from schematic capture and layout to firmware development and mechanical prototyping. Key Qualifications

  • You have track record of success in power electronics: AC/DC, DC/DC
  • Strong preference for Audio electrical design experience(amplifiers, codecs)
  • Experience in architecting embedded systems (selecting SoCs, memories, power distribution)
  • Integration knowledge of wireless technologies (WiFi, BT, Zigbee)
  • Worked with peripheral interfaces (PCIe, USB, I2C, SPI, TDM, PDM)
  • Strong working knowledge of PCB layout and construction (Signal Integrity, Power Integrity)
  • Basic scripting knowledge (python, lua, shell) to automate lab equipment for design validation
  • Consistent track record of developing electronics throughout product cycle: from Requirements
  • Negotiation, to Architecture definition, Design, Production, and Support

Description

You will have responsibility for collaborating cross-functionally with mechanical, acoustics, firmware, and software teams in order to define prototype hardware and evaluate new technologies against features Propose, negotiate, and design EE solutions to achieve functional and performance objectives Capture and communication requirements to key stake holders Drive circuit designs & schematic capture Lead and review PCB layout Build proof-of-concept and initial prototype hardware Create and execute plans to bring-up & validate designs Debug and support prototype builds. Analyze failures; drive process and design improvements

Education & Experience

Bachelors or Masters in EE, CS or equivalent experience
