As the leader of the Siri Data and Analytics Product team in the AI/ML organization, you will play a critical role in the future of Siri and Apple. You will work with top tier engineering and product teams to serve over 1 billion customers, creating the highest quality user experience that Apple customers expect and love. The team is a versatile group that is responsible for Project, Program and Product management at Apple, responsible for planning, execution, delivery and quality management for all Data team features. You will be instrumental in guiding the success of the data team, driving the development of a vision and managing the delivery for the analytical toolsets that are used to evaluate customer success with Siri.

Key Qualifications

  • 12+ years experience in Product, Program or Project Management, or similar role leading cross-functional product or software engineering teams
  • 10+ years experience bringing a product from concept to completion, ideally working on machine-learned systems, and/or complex backend and front-end systems
  • 5+ years in people management experience - Experience recruiting and building large, successful teams of product and project managers
  • Deep understanding of software development for machine-learned products and services, and how analytics and evaluation data can help improve those products
  • Self-sufficient in analyzing and drawing conclusions about the quality and product opportunity from raw and refined product data
  • Great product sense, with the ability to translate between product goals, business goals into technical requirements
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization
  • Innate capability to, directly and indirectly, lead large teams for success


- Oversee the development of a portfolio of products run from the Data organization including, but not limited to: data infrastructure, A/B testing, instrumentation, online/offline evaluation, analytics and reporting. - Develop project plans, monitor and report on progress, monitor engineering workload, manage cross-functional dependencies, and track the engineering organization to performance targets. Keep teams focused on the right priorities to meet aggressive deadlines; clearly communicate project progress to leads and executive team. - Own feature planning and prioritization: Oversee all aspects for multiple projects including specifications, scope, requirements, timelines, and resource allocation. - Partner with the Director of Siri Data to drive the development of a product vision for all measurement and evaluation data products in Siri while ensuring our deep commitment to customer privacy. - Help the product team to deliver, monitor and improve features as we ship them to production: Evaluate and improve the quality of KPIs for key products by analyzing features, and how they should be instrumented. Empower others to understand and leverage data for decision making. - Lead program-wide quality efforts: Ensure measurement of new features are designed and instrumented in every release cycle. Productize dashboards that help product teams to improve Siri every day. - Represent our team with other corporate functions (marketing, product security, legal, etc.), Manage feature stabilization/convergence processes, and help prepare featured demos for Apple events. - Direct supervision of staff: Performance management, career development, education, training, and most importantly, continuous process improvements. Scale the team with top industry talent.

Education & Experience

BS/MS/PhD EE/CS/CE or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • - M.S. or Ph.D. degree with a focus in machine learning, data mining or statistics
  • - Prior PM or engineering experience in speech recognition, natural language understanding, search, data pipelines, and/or A/B testing
  • - Experience using OKRs to drive product outcomes
  • - Past programming experience within a workplace or academic environment a plus (Tableau, SQL, etc.)
  • - Past Director level or above management experience
