The Core OS Platform Kernel team is looking for an exceptional software engineer to design and develop the power management software framework for all of Apple’s operating systems. In this unique and highly visible role, you will be at the center of system power management feature developments and user facing power optimizations. Working with other software and system teams, you will lead the definition, development and adoption of novel power management API’s, aiming to invent scalable solutions with system energy awareness always in mind. You will also be required to prototype and explore novel power management framework changes that make dramatic behavioral changes to Apple’s operating systems.

Education & Experience

MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in system programming
  • Proven track record leading new software development with complex dependencies
  • Understanding of system sleep/wake flow for operating systems
