Apple is looking for medical experts to support health engineering efforts. This is a unique opportunity for clinicians to leverage their medical expertise to work alongside developers building health-focused technologies. In this role you will work closely with a talented team of engineers to address specific issues in the development and validation of health-related tools. The ideal candidate enjoys working on technology and data, and is not afraid of complex challenges. This individual thrives working on a fast-moving, cross-functional team and can enhance the team with their clinical experience and perspective. Key Qualifications

  • Medical Training (MD / NP / RN or equivalent)
  • Undergraduate, graduate, or fellowship training in Clinical Informatics (or equivalent experience working in clinical informatics domains such as Clinical Decision Support, EHR implementation, or other related areas)
  • A detailed understanding of medical ontologies (SNOMED-CT, ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, RxNorm)
  • Familiarity with health data interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)
  • 2+ years of clinical experience; US License / Practice Experience is a plus
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills
  • Strong grasp of the fundamentals of biomedical statistics
  • Experience working on development of technology products or using health technology in clinical/research applications


Work with engineers, data scientists & informaticists to support health-related efforts at Apple Develop iOS features to help empower users to make better decisions about their health

Education & Experience

Medical Training (MD / NP / RN or equivalent). US License / Practice Experience is a plus
