- Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent with a minimum of 5 years experience drafting and prosecuting patent assets as well as developing patent strategies and conducting associated patent analysis, due diligence, transactions and licensing.
- Open source experience is desirable.
- Computer electronics industry experience is desirable.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
We seek to hire a Patent Attorney or Patent Agent to assist in protecting the company’s software innovations (e.g., related to user interface and experience, operating system, application software, cloud infrastructure, and/or other server-side software and service technologies). You will work with the business to build and purposefully prosecute the associated worldwide patent portfolio and strategy. This includes identifying patentable inventions; securing high quality patents; providing technical and legal analysis; handling patent challenges; supporting patent transactions & licensing, and working with engineering and other business organizations to understand priorities and challenges. This position also includes supporting due diligence, IP enforcement, standards, open source software participation and litigation activities.
Education & Experience
USPTO Registration and BS degree required. JD preferred.
