Are you a dynamic and highly motivated Engineering Leader ready to join Apple's Interactive Systems Engineering team? Our team is responsible for crafting, developing, and leading the customer-facing interactive systems in our Retail stores. You will be responsible for managing a team of A/V Systems and Software Engineers to build and support a variety of customer and employee facing technology; including Video Walls, Forum Displays, Publishing and Rendering Systems, and Advanced Control Systems. Partnering closely with Product Management, Real Estate and Development, Marketing, Sourcing, Engineering, and Business Stakeholders across Apple, you will lead the team to build products and systems to enable state of the art interactive experiences in stores. You will work closely with other multi-functional teams to understand how technology is received in stores, opportunities for innovation and problem solving, and develop future roadmaps.

Key Qualifications

  • 2+ years in an engineering leadership role delivering complex technology solutions in a leading consumer products and/or retail organization
  • Track record of leading high-performance teams and demonstrated aptitude in managing complex engineering projects.
  • Understanding of and experience in Agile software development
  • Ability to deliver multiple projects and work with multiple technologies simultaneously, ideally with experience in enterprise audio visual technology, video streaming, and video rendering
  • Understanding of, and experience with Continuous Integration Testing tools and best-practices
  • Experience with measuring, analyzing, and optimizing performance
  • Proven ability to partner with and develop relationships with product managers, business partners, engineering, and other teams to implement large scale enterprise systems. Knowledge of retail systems is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with English fluency in both oral and written communications is required
  • Excellent meeting facilitation, written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally for business travel when necessary

Description

Responsible to lead team of Development Leads, who each in turn manage a team of developers Mentorship, skills development, and career development for directs and their teams Articulates technical vision across all Retail Interactive Systems and collaborates to architect and develop the roadmap for products, systems, and tools Consult with internal and external professional services teams to activate additional resources when needed Provide critical issue support and timely clear guidance during business critical incidents. Partnering with support, infrastructure, QA and technology teams on release management practices, training, quality, and transition-in activities Collaboration with technical teams across Apple such as Events, Product Design, Core OS, etc. to collaborate on how to use Apple technology and bring the best of Apple to life in Retail stores

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree in Computer Science and/or related work experience
