- Masters+ Preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills - verbal, written and executive presentations.
- Display equipment and/or process experience is preferred.
- Travel internationally to support early project planning if needed
Display Operations Equipment Engineer Intern will be responsible for the development of instrumentation to quantify the performance of manufacturing equipment in real time and thereby enable design optimizations and process improvements that result in improved yields and more stable performance of a high-volume manufacturing process. - Serve as technical leader for the design and development of instrumentation equipment used for display manufacturing. - Work with product engineering teams to understand the manufacturing processes required to enable new functions/features of Apple displays for products such as iPhone and Watch. - Create detailed equipment requirements specifications and identify, evaluate, and select suppliers of such equipment. - Manage third party equipment suppliers and display manufacturers for the equipment design and development, schedule, delivery and field qualification. Activities include detailed design review and design optimization, performance verification, and schedule management. - Present timely, concise reports advising the readiness of manufacturing equipment & processes to diverse set of program stakeholders. - Establish validation procedures to determine acceptance of equipment into development builds as well as mass production. - Analyze results of validation exercises and provide technical recommendations. Design/perform DOE’s and troubleshooting when necessary. - Identify opportunities for optimization of equipment performance, process control, repeatability, reliability, uptime, and throughput to meet mass production requirements, and drive equipment improvements where necessary prior to production ramp. - Seek out new technologies to improve process capability, quality, repeatability, reliability, and cycle time of the equipment.
