We are looking for a senior leader to provide strategic and tactical guidance to a 25+ person organization that is focused on driving delivery, performing validation and verifying the success of our projects. Our team has grown dramatically over the last 2 years and now juggles many cross functional projects that are intertwined across multiple teams.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience in information security and/or a track record in successfully executing portfolio, program and project management deliverables in a leadership role
  • Distinctive people skills with a consistent track record of inspiring change, influencing (especially at a higher level) and partner management
  • Validated ability to organize and lead diverse, highly complex projects/programs and ensure effective collaboration and communication across business and technology stakeholders spanning multiple geographies
  • Extraordinary communication and negotiation skills in all mediums and throughout all levels of the organization (e.g., clear and compelling “story”, with accurate insights and well thought out recommendations)
  • Strong problem solving abilities in both ambiguous and tactical situations

Description

Lead project planning and project execution, resource management and allocation, and project management of the Project Management Office. Lead and develop a team of Project Management professionals by bringing best practices, driving critical thinking, and leading teams to search for non-standard solutions to complex challenges. Evangelize the Apple Information Security team throughout the enterprise through partnerships and presentations PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT - Facilitate product/services/tools development and refinement - Project portfolio development, management and capital/resource planning processes - Be the conduit between the PMO, functional leads and business partners - Gathers portfolio status, performance-based metrics, risks, scope issues and provides visibility back to AIS - Crafts and publishes portfolio-level dashboard reports that effectively communicate progress, risk and achievements of the overall portfolio of work PROJECT EXECUTION - Drive cross functional project teams in project structuring, timeline development, and execution - Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-strategy - Ensures that business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current projects, and initiatives - Facilitate decision-making, arbitrate impasses, remove barriers when needed to drive project progress through complexity and tight timelines PROCESS LEADERSHIP AND IMPROVEMENT - Manage continuous process improvement and lead change management initiatives from design to adoption - Drive continuous improvement of our project management practices - Consult with business partners, leadership, team members, or other key stakeholders to evaluate and apply suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness - Develop and maintain lessons-learned inputs for utilization on future projects - Develop and maintain a PMO governance structure for the entry, tracking, and reporting of all projects - Instills lessons learned practices on projects, and ensures learnings are communicated across AIS to ensure a culture of continuous learning PEOPLE AND TEAM LEADERSHIP/DEVELOPMENT - Develop talent and succession plans for the PMO to increase effectiveness, build diversity, and improve bench strength - Mentors, guide, and sponsor the development of key talent
