The iOS Quality team is looking for a motivated, highly technical iOS Restore QA Engineer. This dynamic team is responsible for qualifying over the air software updates on the latest iOS, tvOS, and watchOS products. We're obsessively passionate about software quality and the customer experience, and we are looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role at Apple.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience performing ad-hoc testing on Unix based systems
  • Strong understanding of SQA methodologies & practices
  • Ability to investigate and debug difficult problems and independently work towards results
  • Thorough knowledge of macOS and iOS systems
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Unix, Shell, Python)
  • At ease and adaptable in a dynamic and informal environment
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills are a requirement due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, other organizations within Apple
  • Ability to support rotational weekend coverage


The iOS Quality team develops and maintains new and existing Restore QA test plans. We focus on driving and reporting on feature and project statuses for all aspects of the software update experience for Apple. You will need strong debugging capabilities of high-level software and core embedded technologies. You will complete both documented and ad-hoc testing to ensure high-quality releases. You will also need strong multitasking skills and be successful in​ working with multi-functional teams to achieve the desired results. This position will include rotational weekend coverage support.

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
