Now there are more than two million. And so we challenged ourselves: How can we offer more perspective and insight? How do we showcase the work of creative developers? How can we make the App Store a place our hundreds of millions of customers will want to visit every single day? We’re hiring people who want to help make that happen. The App Store is seeking a dynamic editor to create daily editorial content for the Today tab expressing our unique voice and perspective to a broad and diverse audience. You’re a creative, thoughtful, and uncompromising line editor with a genuine love of mobile technology and the written word. You work quickly and carefully, possess the skill and equanimity to collaborate across multiple internal partners, and have extensive experience driving user engagement across varied platforms. You’re also a digital and media enthusiast, and are excited about how technology shapes our future. Most of all, you’re passionate about the role apps play in people’s lives, and are eager to help create an amazing user experience for millions around the world.

Key Qualifications

  • 6+ years editing creative editorial for traditional and online publications
  • Extensive experience leading freelance writers
  • Experience following an editorial style guide
  • Experience working with content management systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Shown ability to manage deadlines and work effectively with cross-functional teams under strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and an acute attention to detail
  • Resourceful, creative, and collaborative
  • Deep passion for the Apple brand, Apple products, and mobile technology

Description

- Assign, edit, and write daily content for the App Store, including short-form write-ups, deep dives, developer interviews and long-form articles by staff and freelance writers - See stories through from conception to final publish in collaboration with design, production, video and business teams - Act as an expert voice at Apple. If it’s a new app, design trend, or business model, you have an informed perspective on it - Correspond with developers and creative professionals who are part of app culture around story pitches, interviews, and studio visits - Travel within the US and abroad for on-site editorial, as needed. - Represent the App Store team at WWDC, retail meet-ups and other public-facing events

Education & Experience

BA/BS preferred
