Do you like developing apps that use new Apple APIs? Do you look forward to using the latest version of Xcode and the SDKs? How would you like to be part of a team that builds internal apps which use new APIs that are yet to be released to external developers? The Framework Internal Apps team designs and develops internal apps used to qualify many flagship developer features like the newly announced SwiftUI, iPadOS, iPads apps on the Mac, PencilKit, and independent Apple Watch Apps. The team has also contributed to current frameworks like SiriKit, AVKit, CloudKit, MusicKit, StoreKit, Notifications, TVUIKit, WatchKit, and various new app extensions for iOS, watchOS, and tvOS. Key Qualifications

  • Objective-C, Swift or C/C++ programming skills
  • Proven ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies
  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver
  • Great communication skills are needed due to the high level of interaction with many different engineering teams within Apple
  • Experience using any of Apple’s OS SDKs is a plus
  • Experience with SDK/API testing is a plus

Description

Our focus is to ensure the iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and watchOS SDKs provide the intended functionality and experience for the thousands of developers who build apps for our platforms. To do this, we are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong technical, problem solving, and communication skills to work in a fast-paced environment. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: - Designing, developing and maintain apps that are used to validate new APIs in the public SDKs for iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and watchOS - Working closely with other Developers, QA and Automation engineers across Apple to ensure adequate test coverage for new APIs - Occasionally develop accompanying web services and tools needed to ensure new APIs work

Education & Experience

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience.
