Now there are more than 2 million. And so our team of writers, editors, and curators challenged ourselves: How can we offer more perspective and insight? How do we showcase the work of innovative developers? How can we make the App Store a place our customers will want to come to every single day? We’re hiring people who want to help make that happen. We are looking for an experienced copy editor to edit and proofread all App Store communications, working closely with our writers, editors and designers to maintain the highest possible standards. You are tech-savvy, with keen eye and an extraordinary attention to detail. You will ensure clarity and accuracy in App Store copy. You should be creative and self-motivated, with the skills to work across partners and an ability to focus and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Most of all, you’re passionate about the role apps play in people’s lives and are eager to help create an amazing user experience for millions of people around the world.

Key Qualifications

  • 6–8 years’ experience copyediting and proofreading creative editorial for a traditional or online publication, advertising agency, or in-house creative environment
  • Solid understanding and grounding in U.S. English style, usage, grammar, and punctuation
  • Familiarity with standard style and usage guides, including The Chicago Manual of Style
  • Experience crafting compelling messaging for video and social media formats
  • Experience following a style guide
  • Extraordinary organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Technological savvy, an awareness of current language trends, and knowledge of trademark issues
  • Experience working with content management systems
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and work effectively with cross-functional teams under strict daily and weekly deadlines
  • Deep passion for the Apple brand, Apple’s products, and mobile technology
  • Strong communication skills and an extreme attention to detail
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, and enthusiasm for collaboration

Description

Copyedit and proofread editorial, marketing, and social media copy. Review projects at various stages of the editorial and design process. Work with other key partners to draft and/or evolve editorial style guides.

Education & Experience

BA/BS preferred
