Description

The CapEx PM is responsible for coordinating equipment requirements between Engineering and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). The CapEx PM will work with new product and product ops teams to support product launch and sustaining activities. The PM will work with Engineering to understand the impact of cycle time changes and be responsible for adjusting forecasts accordingly. The PM will verify equipment demands from OEM and coordinate with the business team to ensure equipment is put on order and tracked to delivery. The PM will coordinate with appropriate business and procurement teams to ensure support from equipment vendors regarding setup, installation, repairs and maintenance. CapEx PM creates overall project budget; compiling budget requests from OEM and Quality teams and generate capitalization plan based on project schedules. PM also tracks expenditures by project. A CapEx PM is responsible for coordinating with multi-functional partners, to ensure program equipment needs are met. Program managers are confident leaders capable of working with multi-functional teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus and execute mitigations quickly. This requires an in-depth understanding of development and manufacturing process. The PM must respond quickly to changes to the overall goals, schedule, and/or architecture. EPMs must be fearless leaders capable of working with multi-functional teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus and execute mitigations as quickly and efficiently as possible.
