Do you love the feeling of creating simple and intuitive experiences? Do you have a passion for understanding how each element of a design affects the user journey as a whole? As part of the Retail Marketing UX/UI Design team, you’ll help craft the copy systems for apps and tools used by over 65,000 Retail store employees around the world to deliver phenomenal customer experiences. This is a hands-on writing role and requires an individual who has a passion for distilling complex requirements into elegant solutions.

You love words and language, and have strong feelings about style, grammar, tone, and voice. The only thing that rivals your passion for language is your passion for great user experiences. You’re an advocate for clear, concise UI, and you champion writing and design that supports both the content and the user. You have years of experience living and breathing UX, and have held positions as a UI Writer, Content Strategist, Information Architect, or something similar. You’re passionate about joining a team that feels a strong sense of ownership, not just for their own deliverables, but for the quality of the entire experience: We design and prototype tools used by Apple Retail store and contact center employees Our team values research, usability testing and analytics data to inform design solutions We work with product managers, operations experts and engineers to build outstanding creative executions; develop trust quickly with partners We refine and update deliverables to respond to feedback from users and cross-functional team members We conduct and consult on user research and usability tests to ensure that design solutions meet the needs of users around the world Our team ensures that the design intent is maintained throughout development phase by partnering closely with product, localization and engineering team Our team socializes design solutions with broad audiences You’re motivated by applying your experience and skills to help write an amazing user experience for Apple Retail team members, empowering them to serve millions of customers around the world: You’ll craft comprehensive documentation including copy decks and style guides You’ll develop clear, concise copy for VoiceOver so that Retail employee apps and features are accessible, even for users who can’t see the screen You'll present in-progress and final designs to team members and partners, gathering feedback and building consensus You’ll work with localization partners to continually improve the translation process and ensure that copy is accurate and relevant in every Apple store

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Occasional domestic and international travel to Apple stores and contact centers for design research and validation is an exciting aspect of this job!
