We are in search of a Financial Analyst to partner with our Apple Media Products (AMP) teams to help analyze, model and report on Apple’s 1st party media subscriptions like Apple Music, News+, Channels, TV+ and Arcade. Along with a strong analytical mindset, this role will require a significant amount of partnership both with the business and with our internal finance teams. - 4+ years finance or business modeling experience
- Validated analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Aptitude for synthesizing complex data into key components that drive informed decisions
- Comfortable working with ambiguous data
- Shown ability to work independently and respond rapidly in a fast changing business environment
- Innate curiosity - passion for and experience with Apple’s products
- Ability to challenge current thinking in constructive ways
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- High degree of proficiency in Excel required
- Experience with enterprise software systems (SAP, Business Objects, Tableau) strongly preferred
The analyst in this role will become an expert in the drivers, levers, performance measures and financial implications of the subscription business model. Candidate will work closely with business partners to develop, monitor and report on financial and business metrics for existing and future 1st party subscription services offered by Apple. Critical skills for success are advanced analysis & modeling techniques and the ability to translate financial results into accurate forecasts and business strategies. This person will also assess our current processes and execute ways to improve the current methods of forecasting, planning, reporting, and modeling to drive efficiency and scalability. The role requires a highly motivated team player who has strong analytical skills, great attention to detail and the ability to work with multiple teams to meet hard deadlines. Candidate must have great communication skills and have demonstrated the ability to partner with organization members to drive process/system improvements. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: - Sales, revenue, COGS and margin for Apple’s 1st party subscription services - Ad-hoc modeling & analysis of promotional offers, initiatives, and new subscription strategies - Monthly forecasts - Weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting - Annual Business Plan Consolidation & Analysis - Process standardization & improvement - Involvement in user acceptance testing (UAT) for first-party subscription related projects and system enhancements
Education & Experience
Bachelors in Finance, Accounting or Business preferred.
