As an Engineering Project Manager within the Hardware Engineering organization you are responsible for managing the product definition and development process for our product teams. The position supports multiple product lines within the Mac engineering organization.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product development experience

  • Good understanding of technology and the consumer electronics industry

  • Can effectively shepherd projects from initial highly ambiguous ideas through to converged final designs

  • Able to comprehend, communicate and manage complex design tradeoff decisions
  • Develops program schedules and efficiently runs complex, fast-paced, programs
  • Works collaboratively and cross-functionally throughout entire organization
  • Able to influence others without authority and build trust with other teams
  • Can identify the key interfaces between product modules and ensure that the definitions of those interfaces are well controlled


In this role you drive the day-to-day activities to meet the overall program objectives, focusing on process within product definition and engineering design cycles. Establish product definition decisions to be made Identify criteria, dependencies and risks associated with all definition decisions Facilitate decision making process with relevant stakeholders Document and track product definition baseline and outstanding open items Establish decision / definition path to take initial concept through to final design Create and maintain detailed project schedules Identify critical path and focus efforts on dependent activities Track outstanding actions required in order to achieve project schedule Identify cross-functional stakeholders involved in the product development process Facilitate communication and collaboration needed to progress product development Communicate project status across different cross-functional groups and management levels as appropriate

Education & Experience

BSME/EE degree or equivalent required Systems engineering, decision analysis, requirements management or operations research education preferred
