Description

As a Packaging Engineer on the Microphone Engineering team you will devise novel package architectures and drive development roadmaps of suppliers for substrates, lids, substrate materials, adhesives, interconnects and environmental protections. You’ll be responsible for defining DOEs to develop process technology to support the technology roadmap, author DFMEAs to assess novel packaging architectures, define test plans and specifications, lay out package concepts and ensure DFM. As part of our team you will be hands-on in the analysis of validation data sets and you will communicate your results to both technical and non-technical team members. Your findings from DOEs and testing will be used to discover the root cause of coexistence issues for microphones in system. Occasional travel to our partner facilities overseas will be required.

Education & Experience

Most of our engineers have advanced degrees in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field, but if you’ve followed a different path to expertise in MEMS and semiconductor manufacturing, that’s fine too. Apple is an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity. We also take affirmative action to offer employment and advancement opportunities to all applicants, including minorities, women, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities.
