We are the content engineering team, we help power and store content work flows for all Apple's media business. We are looking for passionate Engineering product analyst to define engineering product growth and workflows. We’re hiring a self-starting, upbeat individual with excellent interpersonal skills that is passionate about building amazing products! This role will focus on building phenomenal products for our internal teams at Apple, enabling them to do their best work and create awesome customer experiences. You’ll need a strong technical / engineering background with experience in business processes and a proven ability to evaluate, analyze, prioritize, influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. You will be responsible for innovating and evangelizing the critical importance of the cycle of testing, learning, and iterating to unlock core product growth. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated, passionate self starter to build the role and help define new processes and engagement models to improve quality and scalability of our internal products.

Key Qualifications

  • Hands-on product management experience during all phases of the development cycle
  • Technical/Engineering background; 5+ years experience as an engineering manager or lead engineer
  • Innate commitment to improve how things work, strong technical skills with an eye for design and user experience
  • Intellectual curiosity and an utmost attention to detail that drives you to self-audit your work, understand complex systems and simplify topics
  • Excellent social and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to multiple teams and executive level partners
  • Self-motivated and proactive with proven creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills involving leading large-scale product definition and development

Description

From our roots revolutionizing the music industry, Apple Media Products has grown to encompass not only music, but also TV, movies, the iOS App Store, the Mac App Store, audiobooks, e-books, and more. The Digital Supply Chain Engineering Team builds platforms, services and applications to ingest and process metadata and allows internal users to manage and curate content across Apple Music, Apple TV+, the App Store and the iBooks Store. This position will work with multi-functional stakeholders (operations, product, engineering) to help define product vision and roadmap. Evaluate existing tools and systems and identify opportunities for reuse, consolidation or expansion of features. You'll establish an onboarding strategy for new and existing tools as well as worldwide performance benchmarks for all users globally as well as review and document user workflows to establish business process and identify optimizations. You will be responsible for process and governance around tools security and business rules management You will see opportunities to leverage new technology to improve performance, use fewer resources and simplify operations and translate business requirements into sound product features, balancing the needs of different stakeholders to deliver a well-rounded product Act as the engineering voice of the customer; partner with design and business operations and champion features that build a beautiful, compelling and intuitive end-user experience. Engage customers and collate user feedback through regular travel and engagement with global business teams and set, maintain and analyze product metrics to measure performance and use this data to drive decisions.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering or related field with 5+ years of industry experience, or equivalent. Product or Program Management experience desirable
