Key Qualifications

  • Proven object-oriented design skills
  • Validated understanding of Objective-C/Swift design patterns
  • Experience with UIKit, Core Animation, and the iOS/macOS SDK
  • Knowledge of multi-threaded, asynchronous code
  • Excellent overall software design, implementation and debugging skills
  • User Interface Development / Storyboards
  • Knowledge of machine learning
  • Comfortable with dynamic development cycles
  • Proven passion for quality and attention to detail


In this position you will work with authorities in cryptography, security and user experience to build innovative security solutions as part of broader security initiatives at Apple. The person filling this position should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative and start-up like environment and stay on top of the ever-changing security landscape. The App Store team sits at the nexus of many different teams, platforms and technologies at Apple, providing exciting technical and user experience challenges to be solved. The team integrates closely with iOS as well as many web services at Apple. The ideal candidate has experience developing maintainable JavaScript architecture and libraries used by multiple engineers. You should be passionate about user experience and the final impact your code has on customers. You’ll work with a team of engineers who are excited about building new technologies and tools. You’ll build features that show up in dozens of unexpected ways in apps. • This position requires an ambitious, hands-on engineer with strong technical and communication skills to balance responsibilities including: • Implementing new functionality in existing applications • Prototyping new ideas to help with initial feature definition • Communicating ideas to x-functional teams including the design team • Participating in architecture and code reviews

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
