We at Apple, The Strategic EPM group, are looking for someone like you to tackle a forward-thinking, self driven, motivated and hardworking Engineering Program Manager role. You will have the opportunity to take part in and drive Apple’s new product development and introduction, supporting the dynamic, ever growing, Wireless HW technologies across Apple’s product portfolio. The Power System EPM position will primarily focus on future tech/road mapping activities for 2020 and beyond, with the emphasis on technology investigations with multi-functional teams and prototype/CM partners, spearhead competitive analysis efforts with engineering teams and marketing, and assist in product roadmap formulation. We will empower you to have project execution responsibility in early proto phase of products. You will drive the day-to-day activities to meet the overall program objectives focusing on engineering design, development planning and validation cycles. Key Qualifications

  • BS ME/EE degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of overall industry experience shipping consumer electronics products
  • Experience in working with China OEMs
  • Strong multidisciplinary, technical background
  • Impeccable organizational, multi-tasking, and management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • MS ME/EE degree or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with portable and/or wearing products including System/board level, displays, batteries, WiFi/BT, cellular, input devices, enclosures, silicon, and/or mass storage

The Engineering Project Manager (EPM) role in the Strategic EPM team owns at the system level products (products included but not limited to: iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Accessories) the following areas: Post-ramp qualifications and new technology trials on current shipping product platforms FATP site qualifications for shipping products and products in development This hands-on EPM role will focus on driving and aligning multi-functional engineering resources to help formulate, follow and execute company’s priority with respect to the above areas. This position will work with multi-functional team DRI and china OEM/CM team to resolve engineering issues seen from mass production and field returns. This role will identify, evaluate, and drive various activities while clearly communicating the risks, priorities and schedules to multi-functional and management team. In addition to the above areas, this role will also involve in partnering with NPI EPM group in next generation product developments in post-proto. phase. Given the speed and scope of programs at Apple, this EPM leadership role responds quickly, without discouragement, to changes to the overall goals, schedule, and/or architecture. The EPM must be fearless person capable of working with highly skilledmulti-functionall engineering teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus and execute mitigations as quickly and efficiently as possible. As this requires an in-depth understanding of development and manufacturing process, this position is required to have an engineering degree and experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
