Description

You will brainstorm, invent, design and develop novel metrology equipment used to calibrate and test Apple’s new groundbreaking technology and products. Your design work will range from lab scale systems - requiring deep understanding of technology and product - to developing automated mass-production measurement tools, where balancing engineering tradeoffs between accuracy, precision, costs, lead-time and throughput is critical. With great diversity of the problem space, you will rely on your engineering background to architect the optimal solution for the problem at hand, leaning on the fundamentals of the technology. You will work collaboratively with a creative and diverse team of experienced engineers from all disciplines including mechanical system design, core technology, product design and operations teams developing state-of-the-art measurement systems for Apple. Specification, design and development of acoustic measurement systems Perform acoustic and vibro-acoustic simulations using FEA Specify and acquire equipment, components and tools for use in a NPI environment Analyze large amounts of calibration and performance data Estimated travel of up to 10% international travel
