The Health Software Quality team is seeking a Performance Engineer to help ensure that our Health related applications are high quality and user-focused. We are responsible for all Health related features on watchOS like ECG, Cycle Tracking, Hearing Health and HealthKit. On iPhone, we contribute to HealthKit, Health App, and Research app which encompasses a whole lot of features including Clinical Health Records. Our team is looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role in qualifying iOS and watchOS applications and the frameworks that support them. - Experience in Performance Testing
- Proficiency in Python and/or shell scripting
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
- Familiarity with iOS, macOS, Unix, and Xcode
We are looking for an outstanding software quality engineer with a strong technical background and understanding of performance and memory tools. In this role, you will develop, run and maintain performance tests for Health features on iOS and watchOS platforms. Your focus will be to develop, maintain and execute AirPlay performance test plans across a variety of feature sets to ensure the highest performance of Health technologies before it reaches our customers’ hands. Testing will include identifying and developing performance tools, performance testing and automation of the performance tests. Automation will be key to this role’s success. You will also be responsible for creating and tracking high-quality bug reports, and reporting on project progress and risk analysis. You will work closely with the Health Software development team, automation team, and program level performance team.
Education & Experience
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
