Looking for a highly motivated mechanical engineer to join the iPhone and Mac Hardware - Power & Accessories Team. You will be part of an elite team responsible for conceiving, architecting, designing, and producing exciting new products. Your responsibilities will be extremely dynamic, focused to ensure Apple's Power products continue innovating in balancing cost, size, power, and performance. While contributing to the mechanical design of Apple’s products, you will work closely with many cross-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Electrical Hardware Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Reliability, Packaging, Safety, Tooling, EMC, and Operations.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience developing parts and assemblies in 3D CAD
  • Innovative thinking, high personal motivation, deep engineering capability
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in plastic and metal part design
  • Experience with design cycle from concept to manufacturing
  • 3+ years experience in Product Design
  • Direct management or leadership of product development engineering teams
  • Unigraphics NX6 fluency
  • High volume production experience
  • Expertise in the areas of: GD&T, Tolerance Analysis, Statistical Analysis, Design of Experiments, FEA, Thermal Design
  • Fluency in AC/DC conversion and switched-mode power supplies
  • Is aware of Safety implications surrounding high-voltage designs
