The Video Engineering / Incubation team is looking for a hands-on prototyping engineer with a passion for Computer Graphics, Augmented/Virtual Reality, and User Interaction. You will have the opportunity to build novel user experiences and applications using the next generation of camera technology.

Key Qualifications

  • iOS experience (Swift or Objective C)
  • Experience with shaders for real-time 3D applications (e.g. Metal, OpenGL, …)
  • Working knowledge of C/C++
  • Intuition to make a meaningful impact-effort tradeoff that is required for quick prototyping
  • Flexibility to pick up new skills as required
  • Passion for developing high fidelity user experience prototypes

As part of our team you will be working with Apple’s most advanced prototypes. Our investigations involve technologies like depth sensors, computational photography, and Augmented / Virtual Reality - just to name a few. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Build interactive applications using novel sensor technology - Implement state of the art rendering methods to give real-time user feedback and guide user interactions - Iterate and refine your prototypes with cross-functional feedback from technology and design groups - Present your demos at internal events and start influencing Apple’s product roadmap

Education & Experience

BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields

Additional Requirements

  • - Previous experience with 3D game engines like Unity or Unreal
  • - Working knowledge of global illumination and lighting models
  • - Shipped iOS apps / games
