Apple's Pencil group supports several high-visibility user-facing features & frameworks spanning the iOS Notes drawing & handwriting experience, Screenshots, Markup and beyond. We are looking for a creative and hardworking QA engineer to help with testing these features and help ensure Apple software is of the highest quality!

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
  • Exceptional understanding of QA methodologies & practices
  • Ability to investigate and debug difficult problems
  • Fundamental understanding of Apple’s platforms - macOS and iOS
  • Passionate about Pencil-based experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task well and change focus quickly
  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver
  • Highly organized, motivated and passionate about achieving results
  • Knowledge of Python or Swift


*As a QA engineer, you will be working closely with other QA/Automation engineers & Pencil & Paper Engineering team to establish the bar for quality. *You will make sure that our products meet that bar - by planning tests, doing manual testing and writing automation tests. *You will also be responsible for reporting on testing progress and the overall health of your assigned areas throughout the development cycle. Your main job responsibilities will include the following: *Planning, designing, creating and executing test cases *Performing daily ad-hoc and structured tests *Bug reporting and isolation *Providing release sign offs *Writing automation and/or helping other automation team members to come up with a plan

Education & Experience

Bachelor of Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience​
