Within the BMS organization, the Battery Electrical Engineering group is responsible for the distributed BMS hardware from architecture synthesis to execution to failure analysis during production ramp that enables elite control on energy and power throughout the entire product lifecycle. The Battery Electrical Engineering manager primary mission/role is 1. Work with multiple partners to understand system’s challenges and problems to define HW roadmap and architecture 2. Synthesis workflows & release process suitable for the project that can vary from evolutional to revolutionary in scope with emphasis on increasing visibility among the multi-functional partners while skillfully accelerating the institutionalizing of scope dependent & optimized workflows among the stakeholders existing process & practices 3. Identify, develop, and accelerate the transition of critical new skill sets required to develop revolutionary BMS HW with advanced architectures. 4. Work with BMS system and algorithm team to lead the functional decomposition of the BMS system into HW requirements, specification, validation and verification plan then work with internal and external custom mix-signal architects and designers to lead the further functional decomposition into IC requirements, specifications, validation and verification plans 5. Own the development of extraordinary BMS HW design, define manufacturing requirements while providing leadership for HW verification and validation phase from IC to HW 6. Establish elite failure analysis workflow and methodology that efficiently established root cause and quickly institutionalize the lessons learned 7. Identifying the right problems to solve longer term R&D The manager needs to provide the leadership to execute on the battery electrical engineering mission with focus on assuring that BMS HW design & architecture are the best solution to the application platform problems and to build/strengthen the team for flawless technical delivery of solutions from concept to production.
