The Camera Systems Engineering Group develops technologies to enhance camera performance and to provide new camera features. We are responsible for systems-level analysis, systems and image simulation, use case definition, the documentation of system requirements, and developing systems performance tests. The team is seeking an exceptional systems engineer with broad skills to participate in our projects.

Key Qualifications

  • Expertise in Matlab and familiarity with Python, C, C++ and Objective-C
  • Experience with OpenCV
  • Experience OpenCL/GPGPU programming
  • Experience with image processing and computer vision algorithms
  • Experience with modeling imaging systems
  • Experience with numerical methods and applied mathematics
  • Broad knowledge of engineering concepts (device behavior, data analysis, and systems modeling)
  • Familiarity with computational photography concepts and algorithms
  • Familiarity with imaging technology
  • Familiarity with CMOS image sensors technology
  • Exposure to optical concepts and optical design

Description

Perform systems-level analysis and modeling of imaging systems, and the design and construction of laboratory experiments and prototypes to guide systems development. Applicants should have demonstrated many of these skills: Systems-level analysis and modeling of imaging and camera test systems using Matlab, including modeling of optics and image processing Developing high-performance image processing and computer vision algorithms Developing iOS and OSX apps for use case data collection and prototyping Defining and documenting the systems architectures and system specifications for new features Analyzing and characterizing electrical, optical, and optoelectronic components for new systems Designing and performing laboratory experiments, and documenting the results Using computer control (Matlab, Python, etc.) to automate repetitive measurements. Managing project deliverables and schedules to meet commitments to product development teams

Education & Experience

BS/MS/PhD in a relevant field (EE, CS, Physics or Optical Engineering)
