The Haptics team builds the ground-breaking Taptic Engine, a critical component of the iPhone and Watch customer experience. In this critical, highly visible role, you will manage projects involving the design, integration and launch of haptic solutions. You will lead cross-functional teams and define program plans/schedules. You will leverage your engineering background to manage program execution from concept phase to mass production. You will bring teams together, align them on goals and resolve conflicts to provide Apple customers with the best user-experience in the industry. Engineering excellence is expected and encouraged. Description

You will serve as a cross-functional team leader. You will be expected to: Define and communicate program plans / schedule / status Ensure engineering excellence and help drive logical, balanced and aggressive decisions Prepare and present executive communications Manage preparation and execution of engineering development builds Identify and resolve conflicts, interdependencies and program issues Work with the cross functional teams to mitigate program risks React to unexpected changes in the program due to outside influences Improve the system: look for patterns, offer best practices and implement change Manage engineering and development budgets leading to mass production Work cross-functionally to identify critical performance parameters Travel up to 15%

Education & Experience

BS, MS, PhD degree or equivalent with 5-10 years industry experience in a related discipline (e.g. EE, ME, etc.) required.

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience with high volume mass production
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and design of experiments
