Apple’s MCAD group is seeking a hardworking application engineer to help support and develop the world’s best design environment. Phenomenal social skills, customer focus and experience with mechanical engineering CAD and data management tools are essential to this role. The work environment is very dynamic and requires excellent time management skills. You are good at prioritizing, work independently, react quickly to customer demands and can work optimally under demanding timelines while balancing the ongoing development and scalability of the tools we support. At Apple, the MCAD group trains and supports NX and Teamcenter users in their day-to-day activities and develops workflows and solutions that streamline the design process. To accomplish this, you will partner with MCAD domain guides, PLM software architects, and many multi-functional teams to implement new technologies and initiatives company wide.

Key Qualifications

  • You have more than 3 years of experience using CAD and data management tools - NX and Teamcenter preferred
  • Working knowledge of how data management tools, such as Teamcenter, integrate with CAD and other systems
  • Experience providing technical training in CAD and other engineering tools
  • You have extraordinary people skills and are passionate about delivering premier customer service
  • Ability to write clear and concise technical documents
  • You are comfortable working in a very multifaceted, customer facing environment


• You provide MCAD application support and training for a variety of MCAD tools • You ensure that problems are accurately brought together, and solutions provided in a timely manner • You design and develop content for custom training programs • You collaborate with the MCAD team and our customers to develop custom solutions • You own the acceptance testing for MCAD customizations and application releases • You are an effective communicator and prefer keeping everyone on the same page: customers, team members, and management • You understand the importance of process and workflow documentation • You can balance multi-functional teams who are both internal and external resources • You like to take ownership and collaborate well when solving problems

Education & Experience

• BS in a technical or engineering degree (Mechanical preferred), or equivalent technical training with 5+ years of relevant professional experience
