Design, develop, and launch next-generation Sensor Technologies in Apple products. The Sensor Technology team develops cutting-edge sensor solutions and technologies that are central to Apple’s products. The key goal of the team is to enable the world’s best user-experience through state-of-the-art sensor solutions, such as the high-precision, low-latency multi-touch and stylus sensors in the our products. New challenges arise everyday that require the sharp problem-solving skills of talented and smart individuals. - Strong electrical engineering background in analog and mixed-signal design, especially board-level circuits.
- Hands-on experience in system-level design and NPI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid teamwork and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities: Lead a team responsible for sensor design and integration, from proof-of-concept to mass production. Includes leading the Electrical Engineering team, as well as providing overarching direction to the broader sensor module cross-functional team. Engage in early-stage sensor architecture definition. Author and oversee authorship of high-level solution architecture, feature, and spec. Perform and guide design tradeoff analyses, including final design recommendation. Oversee and review schematic design of boards and flexible assemblies, design analyses, characterizations, and design validations to ensure state-of-the art solutions. Manage Sensor ASIC and subsystem bring-up and integration. Manage and author executive communications and presentations pertaining to key checkpoints. Help define the sensor technology roadmap, sensor technology scoping and proof-of-concept investigations. Oversee technology scoping analyses & modeling and proof-of-concept investigations. Recruit and train talented engineers to build a world-class team. Cross-functional Responsibilities: Manage cross-function technical development of sensor solutions. Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, and Process Engineering, to develop state-of-the-art solutions. Contribute technical assessments to strategic decision-making relating to technology and investments.
Education & Experience
M.S. in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in technology development of mass production
