Production Services Engineers (PSE) play a key role in Software Engineering Operations (SEO). PSE’s are responsible for ensuring our critical internal infrastructure has high uptimes, and runs as efficiently as possible. The environment is fast paced, requiring an ability to work autonomously and to manage aggressive delivery schedules. Suitable candidates should have excellent problem solving skills and passion to improve existing process and systems. The right mix of technical, organizational, and communication skills is key to success. Attention to detail and a proven ability to manage priorities are essential. PSE’s should be able to code and automate infrastructure management.

Key Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of Linux internals
  • Distributed application design architecture experience
  • Networking protocols such as TCP/IP
  • RedHat based OS systems support
  • Coding knowledge in one or more languages such as Python, Go, Ruby, Java
  • Virtualization technologies such as Docker
  • Identify key stakeholders in a project and work closely with them
  • Create project timelines and reports on their progress
  • Manage project cost and risk
  • Handle multiple projects at one given time
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Be a good listener
  • Exhibit patience when dealing with internal customers
  • Be confident, respectful and open minded
  • Detailed technical documentation writing skills


Preferred qualifications: - Experience in managing Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence or Bitbucket - Extensive experience in supporting production Internet services - Attention to detail - Container Orchestration tools such as Kubernetes - Public cloud such as AWS - Puppet and/or Ansible experience

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or engineering related discipline or related practical experience.
