The Touch Technology team develops cutting-edge Touch solutions and technologies that are central to Apple’s products, including the iPhone, iPads, AppleWatch, and more. The key goal of the Touch Technology team is to design the world’s best multi-touch user experience. The infrastructure manager works with members of the Touch EE teams to develop streamlined automated solutions to evaluate our products’ performance. The manager will develop and deploy automated robotic test solutions (HW and SW), as well as a streamlined data analysis engine.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience managing engineers, preferably test development engineers, robotics, or software
  • Experience developing robots or automated test systems. Experience with factory site support as well as vendor management. Familiarity with electrical/mechanical considerations in designing test equipment
  • Ability to program in Objective C, Swift, C/C++ or scripting languages such as Python or Ruby
  • Familiarity with data visualization, statistics and data analysis tools such as Spotfire, Tableau or JMP
  • Familiarity with SQL databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A committed individual with solid teamwork skills
  • Comfortable in working in ambiguity and in high pace environment


You will be developing and validating motion sensors. You will be expected to identify, create, and document new sensing metrics. Work cross-functionally to identify critical performance parameters…. Manage a team that architects, develops and deploys automated test (HW & SW) solutions for the touch HW org. Solutions include robotic instrumentations for highly accurate and repeatable testing Manage global deployment to factories as required. Ensure solutions receive proper preventative maintenance, repairs, and other care as required Maintain a fully streamlined data analysis engine. Manage the development of standardized software tools that automate any manual or repetitive processes Technically lead and contribute to projects hands-on. Drive innovations, justifications, plans, schedules and risk analyses. Provide regular updates to the Executive leader of the Touch org Research, identify and manage vendors to develop tools for next generation products Act as Lab Manager for the Touch HW laboratory in Apple Park Must be available to travel up to 30%

Education & Experience

Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering or Computer Engineering Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience
