Apple Media Products has been leading the digital media industry by constantly developing innovative features since its launch in April 2003. We are hiring a teammate to help us build the next generation backend systems to power user applications such as AppStore and Apple Books. We believe there are some very interesting projects in the pipeline, and that this is just the right time to join. We are seeking an amazing frontend web engineer. You care about everything from UX patterns to HTTP/3. You want to work with the latest and have thoughts about React hook designs and styled components. You care about scss beauty, and always think about the best ways of sharing code. You don't care about mediocre, you're at work to impact and impress, surprise and delight. Leadership experiences are highly valued, as you'll be part of a new team in Seattle. You will, however, also be working together with other team members in Cupertino. We’re looking for someone with the courage and experience to be frank and ambitious, but humble enough to listen to others, and a commitment to improving the team. We want your view on how we can move faster, be more creative and deliver tooling and ideas to empower Apple employees around the world to build the world’s #1 media applications. We’d expect you to challenge the status quo. You are a self starting, high-energy individual who is not afraid to question assumptions and who has excellent written and oral skills. We think you care about the details, the end user, and how it all comes together.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a professional programming position
  • Experience with React
  • Experience with Javascript
  • Experience with Typescript is beneficial
  • Experience with Java or Scala is beneficial
  • Experience from leadership roles is beneficial

In this role, you will be creating tools for Apple editors and designers, so that they can succeed in creating the most immersive and useful experience possible for Apple’s millions of users worldwide. You will likely be part of architecting and building a new generation of web based tooling. We believe this could be the start of something pretty great, and this is a very exciting time to join. You will go beyond the industry norm and demonstrate creativity in problem solving, ability to think dynamically and outside of standard convention, and adapt quickly to new technical areas. Education & Experience

BSCS or equivalent work experience
