Apple Media Products has been leading the digital media industry by constantly developing innovative features since its launch in April 2003. We are hiring a teammate to help us build the next generation backend systems to power user applications such as AppStore and Apple Books. We believe there are some very interesting projects in the pipeline, and that this is just the right time to join. We are seeking a hardworking full stack engineer, who knows Java by heart but doesn't shy away from web and React. We’re looking for someone with the courage and experience to be frank and ambitious, but humble enough to listen to others, and a commitment to improving the team. Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a professional programming position
  • Experience with UI Technologies ReactJS/HTML/CSS
  • Experience with Java or Scala Programming Language
  • Experience with SQL and relational database systems
  • Familiarity with SOLR is a plus


In this role, you will be creating tools for Apple editors and designers, so that they can succeed in creating the most immersive and useful experience possible for Apple’s millions of users worldwide. The work will consist of building tooling for editorial art, powering many media verticals such as Apps, Books, Video and Podcasts. You will also be part of the team working primarily with Apps & Books. Initially you will most likely build new tooling, enabling you to take part in decisions in technology and frameworks. You will go beyond the industry norm and demonstrate creativity in problem solving, ability to think dynamically and outside of standard convention, and adapt quickly to new technical areas. We promote innovation and new technology to further improve Apple's hardware performance and user experience.
