The Commute Alternatives Program is seeking an Operations Lead to assist our team in our Santa Clara Valley bus and shuttle operations. The successful candidate will develop innovative solutions that are responsive to evolving mobility needs. The Commute team objective is to connect Apple through seamless transportation. In order to accomplish this, we provide a suite of dedicated services, including: regional commuter bus service, local circulator shuttles and on-demand, point-to-point shuttles. As the SCV Operations Lead, you will assist a team responsible for all elements of our complex bus and shuttle operation, from RFP's and contract management, to bus scheduling and safety enforcement. The role will establish key customer-centric metrics and drive system performance to meet and exceed those targets. Considering the annual mileage of our operation, the safety of our employees is also a critical focus area of the daily operation. The Operations Lead will be responsible for ensuring our customers will be able to commute to and around our campuses efficiently and seamlessly. Responsibilities: Assist in developing, managing bus and shuttle schedules and ridership Effectively manage fleet on-time performance, routing and service planning Constant evaluation of schedules and routing for better efficiency to better serve our customers Develop run cuts utilizing scheduling software and other similar software Analyze and present viability of routes and cost per rider analysis Analyze route maps and connectivity to each site in the Apple network Evaluate all other transportation services which include BART, CalTrain, Rail etc. and coordinate connectivity to Apple’s commuter coach service and intercampus service. Boots on the ground approach to managing service Forecast and develop runs for daily assignment of third-party vendors Develop processes and manage suppliers to highest safety standards, including integrating third party inspections and reviews to ensure 100% compliance Build relationships and represent commute with internal business partners Assist in planning schedules for special events around the different transit centers Implement processes to ensure cross functional transparency within the team Ensure legal compliance to federal transportation law, regional air quality law and site-level hazard analysis

Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive thinker who can think strategically and stay connected to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of integrity, creativity, initiative, accountability, communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to teamwork and excellence.
