The Sales Administration team’s charter is to provide efficient processing of sales administration functions directly for the Education Inside Sales team. The team’s success is defined by how well it effectively assists Apple account executives in providing timely and accurate processing of product and pricing quotes to customers. The successful candidate will work closely with cross functional teams including sales, finance, sales support, contracts, legal, and leasing teams to efficiently and diligently respond to and process customer quote requests in both pre-sales (quoting and information delivery) and post-sales (sales exception requests). The candidate is also encouraged to supply to the continuing development of the Sales Administration team by offering timely feedback and solutions that, define, develop, and resolve business issues impacting sales. Creative thinking is a must, as we work to build sound business processes in a manner which minimizes disruption, creates efficiencies and maintains operating flexibility. Must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, communicating at all levels of the organization, and able to make sound, ethical judgments that take into the account the best interests of our customers, and Apple. Each team member is expected to be a subject matter expert for our business processes and market requirements, and will be required to provide cross training to other Sales Administration team members on how to provide back-up support. The position is US focused and based in Austin, TX.

Key Qualifications

  • 2+ years industry experience encompassing:
  • Sales support, administration or pre-sales activities;
  • Preferably containing at least 2+ years working with a Sales, Sales Support or Sales Finance team;
  • Preferred industries include Technology and Education;
  • Program, Project or Process management experience a plus;
  • Experience working directly with sales, understanding common sales terms and methodologies;
  • Strong eye for business, analytical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent social skills;
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts when required;
  • Mac OS experience desired.

Description

You will be responsible for creating quotes and responding to RFQ's as well as raising attention to the appropriate Account Executive for review when appropriate. We also review and initiate sales exceptions requests that have direct financial impact to Apple and our customers. We also handle inbound and outbound email correspondence that require us to be efficient and communicate clearly. We develop, review and maintain process/procedure/policy documents for the Salas admin team as well as assist in coordinating supporting documentations, and implementing processes developed to provide efficient transactions.
