Development Engineering Program Manager (Dev EPM) in hardware engineering responsible for managing Mac early development hardware working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in engineering program management managing the development phase including HW/SW integration with cross-functional teams
  • Technical background (e.g. hardware development) with knowledge of computer systems and silicon validation is a preference
  • Leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
  • Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Superior attention to detail - ability to manage complex build matrices and detailed build planning
  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible, alert, eager to learn and calm in the face of uncertainty


Successful candidates will have a proven track record of enabling larger cross-functional teams to deliver complex systems efficiently and with high quality. The ideal candidate will understand the who, what and how of hardware and software system development, orchestrate all of it into a program plan and schedule, then successfully manage execution of the program plan Key Responsibilities Planning and execution of prototype builds while implementing feedback received from the hardware and software engineering in a timely manner Grasp technical concepts and abstract key issues and risks in an actionable form to cross-functional partners Managing dynamic and complex hardware development prototype builds down to the details, ability to drive resolution of technical builds blockers with cross-functional teams Establish a daily build schedule and distribution plan for identified development build. Provide clear exec level updates on builds progress with build reports Partner closely with cross functional teams to understand key designs requiring validation to accurately integrate engineering validation needs into system builds matrices Drive development timelines for new boards, flexes, manage an internal review process and release to vendors

Education & Experience

BS degree in Engineering required, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
