Product Demo and Event Producer, Apple Media Products

Culver City, California, United States

Weekly Hours: 40
Role Number:200147665
Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. You bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplish. We are looking for a Senior Demo Producer to join the Apple Services Product and Design studio to partner with Product Management and other cross-functional teams on upcoming launches. Great candidates have deep knowledge of Apple’s hardware and software products, hands-on demo/events production experience, and outstanding project management skills.

Key Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a demo engineer or producer in digital media/product marketing teams.
  • Experience running technical production for product demos, launch events and press briefings.
  • Deep familiarity with Apple’s ecosystem of media services and products.
  • Ability to configure Apple hardware and software, and integrate it into demo and event spaces.
  • Obsessive attention to detail.
  • Shown ability to influence at all levels, with outstanding oral and written communication.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, sometimes at short notice.
  • Bonus points for AV/live production background, or international experience.

As part of the Product Operations team, you’ll work across Apple’s suite of media products and services. Your primary partner is the Product Manager, but you’ll also need to build close relationships with Marketing, PR, and Events teams to coordinate and set up for product demos, media briefings and launch events. In addition, you’ll handle technical setup and support for internal product reviews, feature testing and QA; and will be comfortable working in staging and prototyping environments, working with Engineering and HI teams as required. You ideally bring extensive knowledge of our consumer-facing media products (including Apple Music, TV, Books, Podcasts, Maps and News), across our iOS, macOS and tvOS platforms. You’ll identify and plan for specific demo scenarios, integrate content and editorial requirements, and partner closely with the Product QA team to configure hardware, software, profiles and accounts. This role is cross-functional and multi-faceted, and you’ll need to be able to switch focus and pace throughout a project, without missing a beat. You’ll be just as comfortable scoping an upcoming demo space with the Events team, as you are running cables or configuring a wireless network back of house. You’ll find yourself troubleshooting complex bugs on pre-release software, and then briefing senior executives and business partners on technical setup ahead of a press demo…often on the same day. You excel in translating the technical to a non-technical audience, and vice versa. You’re supremely organized, able to balance numerous competing priorities, and can instinctively manage the expectations of senior management and executives, in real-time, high pressure situations. Sounds exciting? This role could be based in Culver City or Cupertino.
