The UI engineer is responsible for building high quality Service Portals within the ServiceNow tool

Key Qualifications

  • Over 8 years of IT experience
  • 4+ years building multifaceted, intuitive, and responsive interfaces for web applications using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and Sass
  • Experience building front-end components optimized for speed and cross-browser compatibility
  • Full stack design and development experience in Java or equivalent language
  • Experience developing large-scale single-page apps using AngularJS
  • Experience debugging and testing production issues
  • High energy and an aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Knowledge of modern Object Oriented JavaScript programming patterns, such as client-side MVC, JSONP, and event-driven programming
  • Understanding ServiceNow Service Portal implementation
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Hands-on experience in JavaScript
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Good Collaboration skills and teamwork ethic

Description

In this role, you will work directly with the ServiceNow Application Owner, Project Implementation/Development Teams, ServiceNow Product team, Production Support team and multiple Infrastructure teams. You will provide in-house expertise in the matters of UI/UX design and development, implementation, end-to-end system landscape. You will be responsible managing projects from inception to closure. This includes, but not limited to, planning, design, requirements gathering/clarification, managing team of developers, risk/mitigation, status reporting, communication, process and technical improvements. You will also be responsible for building a strong team of ServiceNow implementors for multiple ServiceNow modules. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Understand business requirements for ServiceNow Provide design and technical solutions for Service Portal implementation Provide end-to-end product architecture to ensure scalable, high performance UI Lead a team of developers working on improvements/implementation related to ServiceNow Perform technical configurations, application maintenance and house-keeping activities Design security of the application, and own data security function Trouble-shoot technical issues related to ServiceNow application configuration and other technical issues Work closely with the product team and support team of ServiceNow See opportunities to improve the platform

Education & Experience

BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Certification on ServiceNow System Administrator and ITIL v3 is a plus
